LIWeddings, Just a suggestion

I was real aprreciative of your time in setting up last night.

But for those of us who love to talk to people, maybe next time

The gifts could be cut short some how, so people can mingle more.

Just a thought.

Personally I think there should just be a gift of the week on the boards, will anyone who makes a post that week being eligible. This would probably appeal more to some of the vendors as they would get wider exposure... On the top of the page could say 'THIS WEEKS PRIZE: One Widget from LI Widgets!' with a link the the vendors site and such... By giving out all those prizes at once, the individually generous vendors can get lost in the mix...

Another suggestion. When there is a GTG going on, perhaps a new board could be set up just for it! There are a bazillion threads about it on BHB

ok lets see if i can explain a chinese auction.....
well each of us would again get a number sheet (or something w/our name on it)

all of the gifts would be set up & labeled (sort of like they were) and infront of each gift would be a place to put your number in (a bag/box/etc.)---you would only enter your number into a bag of the gift that you wanted and could put as many of your # in that bag (to improve your odds of winning).....when you use all of your numbers-you're done! ron would have then pulled out a # from each bag and that would be the winner of the prize............
so, when we got there, we would have gotten our number sheet like we did, ripped it up and went up to the tables to add our # in the bag then at a given time during the night--ron could have went down the table -pulled out a # and bingo-that's it! i think this would have been quicker and as you put your # in the bag--you could have mingled!
