Local Florists

Can anyone recommend a local florist? I'd like to keep the price of flowers down and the best way to do it seems to be by going with a local florist. So, who would you recommend? Thank you!

What's local for you? The Oakdale Florist on Montauk hwy has gorgeous flowers!

The woman there is so awesome and she always has great ideas and some really different flowers...I use her for flowers all the time.

I just took a look at your albums to see if I could get an idea of what local is for you. If you got your dress at Valentina's in Brooklyn then I will assume you are from Brooklyn and Bensonhurst to be somewhat exact.
Both my sons used June Florist on 18th Avenue right off of 86th Street. Jimmy did a fabulous job for both of them. He may seem a little rushed and not listening to you, but believe me he hears everything you say and does a wonderful job. You can check out the centerpieces from one of the weddings by going to the post by MJDoc12 dated 8/4/07 titled GREATEST WEDDING I'VE EVER ATTENDED! NINA IS MARRIED!!!!!!(PICS INSIDE).......***MORE AND MORE PICS ON PAGE 2***** to see them.
Good luck

P.S. He will do samples of everything for you.

Thanks. I should have made it clear about 'local'. Anything in Brooklyn or Nassau county is fine. I prefer Nassau because that's where I'm getting married. :)
