LOCATION FOR BRIDAL SHOWERS

Hi girls,

I need help my cousin and I are planning a bridal shower and we need some ideas. We all live in Merrick and are looking for something close by, any ideas would be much appreciated. We are probably having only about 40 people. Thanks!

I know Bay Shore isn't near Merrick but the Milk & Sugar Cafe is amazing. We had my sister's shower there and I can't say enough about it. People are still talking about it almost a year later.

Not sure how close Garden City is but there is a place called Edmunds that we had my cousins shower and it was really nice!

Cafe Grappa in East Meadow is good and they have a really good brunch!

Pompei in West hempstead gives an amazing shower.
The schooner in freeport also is great and great prices.

Edmunds moved out of garden city about a year or less ago - not sure where they moved to though -

I had my shower at The Orchid in Garden City - many of the guests had been there before for other parties - I think the food was excellent and we had a great time. They are very reasonable for luncheons too

I haven't been there for any showers already....but I absolutely love Milk and Sugar Cafe in Bayshore. The owners 'husband and wife' are very friendly. You can go their for a cup of coffee and talk to them for 20 minutes. Too--I believe they are VERY reasonable. I would love to have mine there.

Went to a shower last weekend at Jonathon's on Jericho Trpk in Garden City. The room we were in was really nice and the food was pretty good.

I agree, I had y shower at Pompeiia nd I even booked it for my rehearsal te food and service are excellent and so are the prices

My FH lives in Merrick. Why don't you try Piccolos in Bellmore, Matteo's in Bellmore, La Piazza. I hope this helps. Good Luck!!!

We threw a friend's bridal shower at the Wantaugh Inn- it was great and reasonably priced!

The International Buffet on Stuart Ave, right near Roosevelt Field, has seperate party rooms available, and they are very reasonably priced. We had our e-party there.

Sole in Oceanside has excellent food and a separate room - I also second Orchid in Garden City - awesome food!

Minnesota's in Long Beach has a separate room...

Ted Milan's in Long Beach had excellent food at a shower but $$$

If you like Mexican - Pancho's Cantina in Island Park - I went to a shower there - I swear - the food was the BEST!!!

I have to 2nd caffe grappa. I was at a communion there with about 40 people, and it was a really delicious fmaily style italaih meal. I definitely recommend it. it's on hempstead tpke, I think just east of merrick rd.

I remember hearing Rana's on Merrick Ave in Merrick was good, very reasonably priced and they have a private room. But, I also second Pompei in West Hempstead. They do throw a good shower. I thought the food was very very good. There is also Nick D'Angelos on Sunrise highway in Merrick, but they are a bit more pricey i think.

Cafe Symposio on Sunrise Highway is really nice too! It's in Bellmore so it's definitely close to where you are. I went to a shower there last year and they did a great job

Don't laugh I did my sister shower at Kaseys in Rockville Centre... It is a bar/ resturant durning the day they take the dance floor and make it into a party room nothing fancy but let me tell you the food was really really good. They set it up really nice and the owners and hostesses where sooo helpful. They gave me a great price of like $25 a head they threw in a Cake from Whistle stop in oceanside and we had a champagne punch.

Honeslty a year later I still have family talking about the food and my mother dreaming about the salad (I have never seem a salad like that in my life before)
