Location for Morning-After Brunch?

Location for Morning-After Brunch?

My mother and my FMIL want to host a brunch the morning after the wedding because we have a lot of OOT guests.

Does anyone know of any good locations in Nassau or Queens (hotel is the Marriott in Uniondale, and most people will be going home via the Throgs Neck Bridge, so I'm hoping to find something that's not too far out of the way.)

Thanks!

We're doing ours at our hotel... more of a breakfast than a brunch. Does your hotel offer this?

You should check, it is a lot easier for people to go to the breakfast then,

Keep in mind most people will be ready to start getting home

They do it, but FH and I both hate hotel food. We travel a lot for work, and I hate the yicky eggs and hard bagels. Plus, they're ridiculously expensive. We would need to pay over $20 a head for a continental type breakfast.

I doubt this is what you are looking for, but my sister is holding a 'bagel brunch' at her house the day after for all the OOT guests. Nothing too fancy, bagels, muffins, coffee, tea, donuts, etc.

Cheap! Intimate! But a burden for my sis. But she wants to do it.

What about the hotel...a buffet...so guests can come and go as they please, a relaxed morning....
...get up, go to breakfast, go back to to room, pack, check out.

Sorry missed your post about not liking hotel food.

Check out the restaurants on 7th Street in Garden City - I forget the name, but there's at least one that has a nice brunch menu - I think it's the Seventh St. Cafe.

Maybe check out Leo's on 7th St., City Cafe on Stewart Ave. in Garden City, or Paparazzi on Jericho Tpke in Westbury.
