Is anyone using a loft space (in manhattan or any borough for that matter)?
Am curious as to what is out there, and what the opinions are on the space?
Seems like more outside help would be needed? Like a planner? Did you use one/not use one? Has it been challenging?
any ideas is greatly appreciated!
thanks,

Re: loft weddings? anyone using an open/white space?
I went to a wedding at the Tribeca Rooftop last year, was a loft wedding. Was beautiful, but the bride said it was a ton of extra work.

Our friends married in a very intimate ceremony in a loft (in Manhattan) several years ago. Unfortunately, I do not remember the location but I know they had to do a lot of extra stuff to coordinate. They did have a very small wedding and had friends who helped them out with things. It's a lovely experience to attend but it may be more work without a coordinator.

I would recommend Manhattan Penthouse if you're looking for a wedding like that. The catering is great, terrific food, great view of the Empire State Building! You can get married with it in the background! The prices are very reasonable, and it would be good for 75-100 people. The CH space is a little tight for 100 ppl I think though. Good luck! I considered Tribeca Rooftop and the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, both of which are loft type spaces. It really depends on how much you want to do to decorate the space (if you go to look they'll show you albums of what other people have done). I do think other loft spaces (like Studio 450) are a lot more work because you have to bring in almost everything and its a totally bare space
