LOL @ RSVP Responses!

What are some of your funny stories re: rsvps?

Today was the first time I was able to actually look at the ones we got back (they go to my parents house) and its so funny the things people do... About half the guests dont understand the ___ of _2_ concept... They just dont write anything lol Maybe it was a waste to write that since no one has tried to bring extra people yet...

We put a line for number of guests attending (because we were inviting families and kids). So the line was supposed to represent how many people total. Some people thought it meant how many people in addition to them. '____ guests attending' Some people filled in 0 but checked 'happily accepts' Easy mistake I guess but only a few people made it.

My favorite one was the one where they checked ' 3 Will attend' (dont remember sending anyone an invitation for 3 people) and with NO NAME. So I had no idea who it was from.

Oh I have a good one...

My cousin sent it back and checked off the 'maybe' box that he so lovingly added himself.

He then wrote me a two page list of demands in order for him to appear at my reception. To sum it up he wanted his own table, his own personal chef and menu, and wanted me to hire someone to sprinkle rose petals wherever he walked. He also said the only person that could sit at his table is Jose Cuervo or Jack Daniels. He also said he responded 'maybe' because he said that 'if that Pete guy is going (my FH) then he aint attending!'

It really cracked me up and made up for the fact that he sent it in after the RSVP deadline.

The best one I got was checked off declined but the wrote me a note saying 'well maybe we will try to make it, we will let you know'

So I counted them as a no ... unebelivable

I got about 4 cards back where the guests added extra people... but the best part were the excuses they gave

1. 1 guest invited but 2 were put as attending
Reason: I had my friend fill out the card and she saw you were getting married at Jericho Terrace and she loves it there so she wanted to come and so she invited herself....CLASSIC!!

2. 2 guests invited but 3 attending
Reason: I want to bring my 9 year old daughter cause she really wants to see the wedding!(cause I gets its the event of the year...) AND I might bring my 13 year old IF I can find him something to wear...So basically I also have to HOLD an extra seat on top of the 3 you already have taken until you get your s*it together

3. 3 invited but 4 attending
Reason: The 4th person is my teenage daughters boyfriend who is going to help us drive to NY....Yea umm sorry not happening.


I am still waiting for some more.....

Fh's friend wrote this on the back of hie RSVP card



'I'll be there, as for the 'Black Tie' dress code....I'll be in a Tux......

He is so stupid!

On my rsvp i put _ of 2 well someone checked off:

_ of 2 accepts with pleasure &
_ of 2 declines with regret

Well they checked off both & wrote 'cant wait till the wedding'

Im like ah so is it yes or no you dont check both.. lol

I got one from my former neighbor. Her twin sons grew up with me and were like my brothers to me. She tied a ribbon around it and wrote on the bottom...

'Hey!!! I should be the mother of the groom. Didn't we plan that?'

Then my Aunt wrote on the name line

Mr. & Mrs. Wouldn't Miss It For the World' but didn't put her name. Good thing we numbered the cards.
