of how incredibly different weddings are in Austria (where we're getting married)... I just posted something on an Austrian wedding forum about photographer costs... We're having 2 photographers shoot for 12 hrs, one is flying in from the US and one is driving 3 hrs from Germany, and all together including transportation, hotel, etc, we're paying €1900 (about $2500) and a lady there just pretty much told me I'm crazy

Its really uncommon to have a photographer for the whole day, and photojournalism is pretty much non existant... so most poeple pay liek 400€ for an hour of formal shots that end up looking like they came from the 70s ...and I'm sorry, but to me those pictures aren't even worth that much

Being German, I know that they do things so much differently over there.

Ok I guess its just the Americans that like to do things big FH is a typical Austrian though and when we first started looking at photographers he expected to pay around 400€ and I was like 'ok are you nuts?' Its because when his friends got married, they said they paid 400 for photography so I guess he figured thats normal But then they said that was a waste of money because the pics ******... well duhhh. But FH is still like 'we seriously can't tell ANYONE here how much we're paying'
