My moms cousin Rsvp'd for my shower, and told my MOH that she really didnt like any of the items I picked out on my registry, and didn't understand why I'd pick white plates, and she's probably going to pick someone else on her own b/c she prefers blue plates!

OMG SAME THING happened to me. My Aunt who was intending to buy me some China called my Mom and said she was refusing to do so because it was 'too sophisticated' for a young person and that young people should be picking 'colorful plates.' F YOU! IT IS MY SHOWER!! PICK PLATES FOR YOURSELF, LET ME PICK MY PLATES!

If someone said that to me for a shower I was throwing I would tell them, well the gift is for the bride not for you so I advise that you don't do that. If you don't like what she has picked, you can always get a giftcard.

My Bm was looking at our registry and was like.... I don't see anything on here I like... Um... MY registry.... We like the stuff on it... I actually told her that!!! I was like just pick something in your price range and get it....sheesh, how hard is it?
I have also had people grumping about the 'lack' of any China on ours.... I am like look why spend major money on something we will NEVER use....
I am thinking in my head well... if you want to spend alot buy me my damn Dyson!!!

my mom is totally one of those people that does that i always try to stop her from buying random things that people did not register for, but she seems to think that her taste is better it is so embarrassing! and annoying!

lol nice! yeah imy aunt told my BP she didnt get anything off my registry cause it was ' too impersonal' so she went to like asome cheapo store and got me a picnic wine carrier..............I DONT DRINK WINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate wine!!!!!!!!!!!!! i will NEVER USE IT lol people amuse me! if she does get you something and you dont like it....just return it

That is funny!!! my aunt did the same thing. she kept telling my mom that everythin gon my registry was custom order....noting was custom order. We even went to the store. she just wanted to buy something different. I kept saying what is ht epoint of a registry then?? Just return it later on

lol...guess i'm not the only one this happened to. My mom's best friend (who is really close to the family) says that the china i chose was so old looking and that I needed something more modern...that she'll get me something she liked lol

hahaha although i didnt get gina anything from her registry...but a basket of stuff and a gc to a spa...but we're close so i figured i knew her welllll enough....and cuz i thought she would need something relaxing before the wedding hahaha.
but for other people...i got something on the registry and just added something 'personal'...its not thaaaat hard!
