so the other night i showed FH somebodys post of their DIY lego bride and groom STD magnets. we both thought they were adorable! I was thinking we would do STD photo magnets though and felt this would be more 'acceptable' to the taste of FH's family and especially his inlaws.
well today we visit inlaws and his mom says the legos are a wonderful idea...and that we shouldn't do photo magnets because nobody besides our parents is going to want to put our photos on their fridge.
so now I hafta throw out any ideas and designs i already planned on ...and figure out how to put together some cutesy DIY save the date magnets like those lego ones. But I don't want to copy someone elses idea exactly, I want something a little different.

if you like the magnets why care if she says nobody will like them? I love getting them, I have a bunch on my fridge, half are just friends but we like being reminded when the weddings are.. If you like the magnets you shouldn let one person dictate what you do .. JMO

thats the thing...the legos really are more like FH and I. I would be ok with either really but its funny I thought his mom would prefer the photo magnet when really she loved the legos. that threw me for a loop. I don'y mind DIYing STDS but its deff alot harder than picking a design, typing a few words, clicking submit and being done with it. lol. If I knew we'd try DIYing I would have started a long time ago!

Why not try vistaprint.. I got 50 magnets for like $20 and there good quality, and we just attached it to a cardstock and wrote a cute poem on it!
