Re: Lolita

omg... i HATED it!!!!! that one was HORRIBLE! i called my friend and we were like 'um... that one reallllly sucked'!

i just started to watch it out of boredom one day and i ended up getting involved i nthe storylines.
i think they have too much sex in the show, but the storylines have been good (until the last episode!)
i 'cant wait' to see what happens with the baby of Tina & Bette.... and when Dana & Alice finally got to gether it was like one of those things you wait for, like Ross & Rachel or Tony & Angela (whos the boss)

i dunno. i always get into weird shows no one else ever likes!

its really not the best show in the world. just the one im into for these 5 mintutes... im sure next month ill be on to another thing!

(if you havent noticed i go through phases..... i guess im out of my Aileen Wuornos phase now ...for the most part )

I watched the first 1 while I was away at training in upstate NY. I thought it teetered on being a porno!

And, of course, the next day at work (since we were all locked up in the same hotel) everyone was like 'OMG...DID YOU SEE THE NAKED CHICK IN THE GYM??? DO GIRLS REALLY WALK AROUND NAKED AT THE GYM???'

Re: Lolita

Another Question for ya:
Do you think that the L word hurts the whole Gay and Lesbian movement?
In that being gay isn't just a 'sex' thing but rather a life style?

Re: Lolita

not reallly. i think that they do overdo it, but there are ALOT of storylines that deal with this. there was the whole one about trying to have a baby, and a whole bunch more that are serious issues that they DO address....
i cant say that i think it hurts it though. but this is just my opinion.

just curious on someone elses thoughts

and i saw that part where the girl finds out the her ex is pg..INTERESTING DEBATE!!!

Re: Lolita

yes. stuff like that that REAL couples im sure must go through.

that girl who is now pregnant... she was pg before, but had a miscarraige and some woman said to brunette (jennifer beals) 'god took away your baby b/c it shouldnt be born to lesbians' or something like that... so there are things about it that are real and not just about sex...
i dont think the show HURTS the movement.. but i cant say i think it really HELPS it either

Re: Lolita

but i think that it helps in a tiny way for those viewers that are straight to think about things that they never would have thought gay people face.

(if that makes any sense)

Re: Lolita

i was against watchign it when it came out!
my friend was like 'are you gonna watch it?'
and im like 'no way' i dont know why. i felt like it was going to be like trying to recreate Sex & The City but with lesbains instead.... but its nothing like it.
its more of a drama. SatC was more of a comedy.

Re: Lolita

I really liked this show the few episodes I saw last season but I was still unsure. When the first episode came on this season, I was hooked and watched all the old ones on-demand to catch up. Lately it's been revolving way to much around sex. Last nights episode was a little too much. They really need to get rid of Shane and Jenny's new room mate.
