any of you doing custom menus? If so are they making you pay $2.50 per menu to proof read them? I had a meeting yesterday and I though I was meeting with the BM to go over everything but I met with the party planner and she said that if I do custom menus I have to pay for them all to be proof read, so in the end they want me to pay $375.00 for making my own menus. just wondering if any one else ran into this problem. TIA

whattt that sounds crazy...we did an upgrade of personalized menus and an upgraded wedding cake for $300...if they are charging you that much you might as well custom order them from an invitation place or person..those menus are def not worth all that money

Yesssss, sad but true. I wanted HER to do my menus since she did my invites & placecards...well my BM told me I flat out couldnt have any personal menus ....he said NO personal menus b/c one bride did them & made up her own description of the dishes & the Lombardi's had a fit It def pissed me off bc there was nothing mentioned in my contract about pesonal menus....it wasn't mentioned until I picked my menu 6 weeks before the wedding! They said my only option was the menus in the frame they do for free but aren't personalized and have dishes on there that aren't available (so tacky imo)....they never even told me I could have my own menus proofread for 3.50 until I met with them 9 days before my wedding when I made final payment. I just ordered the custom ones from them for 2.50 & they are nice but I so would've rathered T e s s a's and I would've paid the 3.50 if I had the choice earlier. They really won't budge on this either, so frustrating

I did it and it included the upgraded wedding cake for $350. With all the choices of food they give (I believe it was 7), could you see the waiter standing in front of each person reading them out? Dinner would last for hours.
