I booked my wedding there but forget the exact colors.
If I get a favor that is ivory with hunter green ribbon and gold, will that match? I don't feel like driving over there, was thinking to just do the ivory and gold and skip the green to play it safe. Then I thought I should just see if any of you guys know?

Re: Lombardi's on the Sound
I was just there last night picking my menu, they actually put in new carpet that has green in it. And they also have new linens that are ivory and gold (very pretty). Hope that helps!!
Oh- they also took down those brown drapes :)

Really? That's very exciting...did they replace the drapes, or did they just take them down? Do you girls know there is a showcase there May 29th? The only way I found out was because I went to the Villa Lombardi's showcase last week and one of the vendors told me.
If you go online to their website, you can pull up the pictures of the dining room and see the colors from there. I never thought about matching the favors to the RH...I was going with matching the colors of my BM's.

Re: Lombardi's on the Sound
I am def going on the 29th. Is anyone else renting chair covers? I have a black and white theme and want to get chair covers. Also, I heard that we can't print up our own menus. Is that true?

I dont know about the menus...please, if you find out, let me know. I already have that started, so I'm glad I haven't printed them yet!! They are SOOO Strict. I wanted to do my own candy buffet, bought half my stuff only to find out that was a no, no too. UGH! I shouldn't complain though..it is my dream location and I know it will be a fantastic day.

They don't allow you to print your own menus- I asked last night. They will print up personalized ones for you, for 100 of them they are $250. Also they didn't replace the drapes with anything- its just the glass doors and they are frosted. They look so much better without the drapes. Also- my favors have a hot pink ribbon on them, i'm matching them to my bridesmaid color not the hall. It ties in with my flowers though b/c they will be pink and green.

What else can we and can't we do?
What bakery were you told they use, and have you met with them yet? The week before I signed the contract, they told me rolling pin. The day I signed it they told me they just switched to Le Bon Bollagirei (sp) but if I really wanted Rolling Pin, they could prob. work it out, b/c they are still the hose vendor for Villa. Just wondering who all of you are using...

Wait a sec...is it just the glass doors that are frosted, or is it all the glass surrounding the banquet room that is frosted? That seems like it would take away from the view...

that sounds pretty!!! I think hot pink will actually blend in very nicely with the room because it's a dark pink, not a pastel. I originally was getting married somewhere else and everything matched together..the RH was very neutral colors. The bridesmaids are in lilac, when I booked Lombardis I was sooo stressed about the whole thing ( changing dates, moving my vendors around) that at t he time I felt that putting lilac on the tables would look funny. In retrospect, it will probably look funnier that the bridesmaids are all in purple and there is no purple anywhere inside. My favors on the tables were originally lilac but I got new ones when I saw the inside of Lombardi's that are all gold and ivory and the flowers are also ivory for inside.
All the flowers and stuff for outside ( the ceremony) is in purple.
A little odd, I know and if I could do it over again, I would've picked a different bridesmaids dress. ..but the place is so beautiful, we can't lose no matter what we do anyway!

I am going with La Bonne Boulongarie. Lombardis showed me the book of cakes they offer for free and i really didn't see anything i liked. So i have to make an appointment with Corey at the bakery to upgrade my cake. They will give you a credit for the standard cake and it will go towards the upgrade (they didn't tell me how much that was- will find out through corey). Don't know if you've ever been to that bakery but they make awesome stuff- especially their rainbow cookies :) For the frosted glass- It's frosted in squares on the doors- kind of hard to explain. But the only doors that remain shut during reception are the ones behind the bride and groom. All the other ones are open so you still see the view. I met with Charles at Lombardis and he is such a nice guy!! I really expected them to be very strict and for me to have to put up a fight. But they were pretty good. They don't allow any outside food- I am doing cupcakes for my favors and they allow me to do that but they have to be in sealed boxes. So no big deal. They use all top shelf liquor- I had him go through the whole list with me and both bars will be open even though i only have 125 people. THey also have table service for alcohol. I'd be happy to answer any questions you guys have :)

I;m sure everything will look beautiful. Someone I know of got married there last summer and she had a light purple for her girls. So i think anything is doable :)
