Lombardi's on the Sound brides

Hi girls,

Are any of you doing low centerpieces or all high? i was told those tables can accomodate only high but wasn't sure if this was true.

Thanks,
Val

They are, the CPs if I remember correctly for the wedding I went to were oval...and had candles in the middle but they werent small by any means. I would say if you can take a measurement of the table and give yourself a specific width to work with if you do not want high CPs. Ill be honest (not sure if there is more then one room there) but I dont know if I would like High CPs in that room-the one that overlooks the second floor decking area.

I am doing low. They are Square shaped. I never even thought to measure or anything.

And since I like my centerpieces, I don't think I will change. Without sounding harsh, if they are in the way the guests can just move them.

Absolutely!! I have no idea what I'm doing, I went to Lombaris one time ..and I never really looked at any centerpieces..I only know what the florist told me. I didn't pick anything out yet so I'm not partial to anything. I actually had all bowls, candles and vase gems bought and was going to make my own. Then there were just too many problems with EVERYTHING I orfered and I decided to save myself the aggravation, send them back, get flowers and spend a little more money. But now I'm lost between high, low, mid...LOL

Okay so if I want to low, they should be square shaped ..and high might not look good??

I am not sure if there are other rooms...the one we're having the reception in seemed like the only room to me other than the rest. side. I heard there was a smaller top floor though. Anyway, please explain what you mean about the high Cp's maybe not looking right in the room. I've only been there once and wasn't thinking about centerpieces when I was there because I was planning on making them originally. I am soo confused about what to do now. Thanks!!

The room I am talking about is straight in from the doors, it has columns around the dance floor, if I remember the ceiling is actually lower under there then where the dance floor is...I think high CPs would make the ceiling look lower. The table areas are also kind of 'closed off' from the dance floor and I think that there will be too much going on in the areas of the tables.

I think that's the same room..you walk in the front door and just go straight to it. the rest of those details escaped me though so THANK YOU!! Maybe I'll go there again and check it out before I decide! I think with that place, no matter what you do ..you really can't lose though. It's just so pretty there :)

Definitely not-the place is immaculate! The view is insane and the CH is to DIE for! I rarely eat at Ch b/c im picky, i ATE at my friends Ch for their wedding b/c the food was awesome

Re: Lombardi's on the Sound brides

I think the reason they say to keep them high is b/c with 12 people (the max) at each table with the plates, silverware, glasses, bread dish, and then the water and wine bottles they put on each table it is very crowded. I decided to only put 10 people Max at the tables only for the reason that there is now room after all the plates and things are on the tables. with the high centerpieces it doesn't look even more crowded and it draws your attention up and away from all the stuff on the tables.

This is how Pat explained it to me. HTH

I'm using low candle centerpieces. I have seen both high and low, and I honestly dont like the high centerpieces.

Do you all know there is a showcase there next Thursday? I'm not sure if it's on the website or not, but I found out about it at the last Vill showcase.

To be honest, I think you can do whatever you want. If the cp is larger, perhaps adjust the number of people sitting at the table. I know they say the tables hold 12, but 10 might be more comfortable especially if your centerpiece is large. Again, I have no idea what the dimensions of the tables are, but I am confident my centerpiece will be fine. And if not, (not to sound harsh) I really don't care. lol... I wish there was a shrugging shoulder emoticon. I would have inserted it here.

I agree, I've been to events at LOTS and they used low CP's on the table!

Re: Lombardi's on the Sound brides

whoever told you that is full of crapp.....i personally went with High CP's but that was strictly because that is what I liked. They can def. accomodate low pieces. I thought the high ones just looked better in the room because the ceilings around the dance floor are high and it needed color. My review of LOTS is up, feel free to FM me if you need help!
