Long Beach school district? Good? Not good?

The area in general? Is it a 'good' area?

Thanks

I live in LB but I hear that the school district is not the best...we plan on moving by the end of the year.

I lived there for 3 years and did my student teaching there. The school district is good but very diverse. You get the rich kids from Pt. Lookout and Lido Beach mixed with the lower income group of Hispanics and African-Americans. Starting next year, you'll get the more middle class kids from Island Park for high school.

I personally think it shows kids how dimensional (if that's a word) the world can be.

I live in Long Beach. The schools are defnitely improving. I did some work in the elementary schools last year, but it was only temporary. From what I saw I would rate them a 7 out of 10.

I live in LB now and was worried about the same thing! I keep thinking we won't be living here by that time anyway, but FH loves it here..
