long distance bridal shower

long distance bridal shower

would you attend a shower out of state? one of my college roommates is getting married soon and her shower is going to be in annapolis, md. i would love to go, but i think it is too far to travel for just a shower. would you go?

i went to a shower upstate about 4 hours away once.
and i had a few people come from pretty far away for my shower - made me feel special to have them there.
if it's for a close friend , then i'd say go.

she didn't come to my shower that's why i'm kind of leaning towards not going. i'm definitely going to the wedding, but i don't want to drive 5 hours each way for just the shower. i think i might just send a gift.

It depends how close I am and how far Im driving. I would probably send a gift for a friend from college who Im not super close with now and then a phone call afterwards.

We didn't even invite people from out of the tri-state area.

It depends how close I am to the person. My shower was this weekend and I had 3 friends come from upstate NY (Syracuse) and 1 came from VA. If it was somewhere too far to drive I wouldn't go, when it is in reasonable driving distance I would go.
