He rubbed me the wrong way from the first time I walked in. The place was dead. He was alone. You'd think he would sit me down and help me with idea's, etc.... I told him what I wanted, which, back in October I had no idea what I wanted, and he said 'okay' and pulled a piece of paper from another piece of paper and wrote my name, my cell # and the wedding date and told me to call him 3 days before the wedding! My initial visit wasn't requesting CP's but I changed my mind so I call him today and asked if I can get prices or would I have to come in. I reminded him who I was and that I lived on LI (he's in Bklyn). He was like: 'Well what kind of prices do you want?' I told him a certain type of tulip and he goes: 'I can't give you a price. I have to make phone calls.' So then I told him I was coming in Mother's day weekend and he was like: 'NO! You can't come in. That's the busiest day of the year. No disrespect but I can't have you here during that time.' I was like: 'Mike, thanks for your time which you never seem to have for your customers.' and I hung up! THANK GOD, I never left a deposit or signed anything and THANK GOD a florist isn't the type of business that gets booked like a limo or hair stylist would. UGH......now the search is on again but this time, I know what I want and BETTER GET IT.

i got great prices from the flower barn they are an LIW vendor as well check them out his work was very nice!! and i loved him if you go to the vendors page you can get to their website!! good luck

I don't blame you for ditching this florist, I would have done the same thing .... just not sure I would have been as patient as you were.

It's a good thing you ditched him now...that is definitely very shady, and NOT the way to conduct business. There are plenty of amazing florists out there, I'm sure you'll find the perfect one! Good luck!
