Has anyone applied for or used the first time home buyer down payment program or worked with them in any other way? I have never heard of them until yesterday. Here is their website http://www.lihp.org Thanks!

well we applied for those melville affordable houses and fh was in the running but lost..my friend used them for the downpayment assisstance and loved it..they gave her 10000 towards a co op in nassau but she has to stay there for 5 years or pay it back..she's staying but she's made tons off the co op already so it worked out great..good luck oh and you have to be a first time homebuyer or you can't get anything from them
