Long Island Sheraton?

Long Island Sheraton?

Want to go to a local hotel for my after-the-wedding party, and a place to spend the night.
What do you guys think about the Long Island Sheraton in Hauppauge? I wanted to do the Fox Hollow Inn but FH says its too far, and I wanted Oheka, but they are obviously booked!
Our RH is at Thatched Cottage. Any suggestions, or has anyone else stayed here?
Would like to book this weekend.

We have our guest rooms and our room booked there. If you reserve at least 10 rooms for wedding guests (through contract), you get a significant discount, as the bride and groom, for either the duplex suite or a junior suite. The duplex is nice, since it's a living room area on the bottom floor with a spiral staircase up to the bedroom. It's nothing crazy fancy, but it works for us, and the rate for guests is also reasonable. I mapped out all the hotels in the area, and I found the LIS to be the closest hotel that seemed of good quality.

Thank you so much, that was very helpful.

Sure, happy to help. Just a few FYIs...
1) They have several duplex suits, some on the ground level, and some on the 5th floor. I made sure to specially request the ones on the fifth floor. The ones on the ground level have a view of the pool, which was not appealing to me.

2) LIS will arrange for car rentals for guests (local rental car place will drop off and pick up cars) and they also will provide shuttle service to MacArthur and to LIRR stations.

3) They have a nice, open lobby with a bar, that's open late for after wedding festivities.

Good luck!

Isn't there a Marriot or other hotel in Melville? Maybe its Holiday Inn?
