Long Islanders help needed
I live in Queens and I have 1 out of town guest coming to my wedding from Pennsylvania.I need a nice, not to expensive hotel where she & her fiance can stay.
My reception is in the Coral House.
Is there a nice hotel near there where there are other surrounding things she can do the day before?
Thanks!

Re: Long Islanders help needed
You have the Holiday Inn in RVC, or the Marriott in Uniondale. There are also a lot of smaller, less expensive motels/hotels all along Sunrise Hwy. With your wedding being in May, there are so many things on the Island they can do. What types of things do you think they would like to do? BTW, our wedding is at the Coral House as well 12/15/02

Re: Long Islanders help needed
DecBride had some good suggestions and I agree that the Coral House should have some to suggest too. There are also a couple hotels near Roosevelt Field Mall, The Source Mall, and all the surrounding restaurants and stores: Red Roof Inn (newly built), Wingate, and a Holiday Inn. I'm not sure of prices on these hotels but you could look them up on a travel site. They are probably about a 20 minute (estimated--you never know with LI traffic!) drive to Baldwin.

I work in that area and have had to book hotels in the carle place/ garden city area. I know for a fact that the holiday inn and other hotels there all start at 170 a night. It is a very expensive area to stay.

Re: Long Islanders help needed
Jennbaby I also have looked into this because I am getting married in Rockville Centre. The holiday inn on sunrise highway wants $169 a night. My mom went to look and said the rooms smelled musty and she is embarrassed to send her relatives/friends there. We called the Marriott in Uniondale and they wanted the same and maybe more. We are next going to look at the sunrise executive hotel in Lynbrook on Sunrise highway to see what the rooms are like. Those are the closest to the Coral house. I am having the same problem. If I find something I will let you know.Welcome New Vendors
