The gown I want has long sleeves. I love the dress, and it's what I've always wanted, but I'm seeing that no sleeves are in. Opinions? Is it too hot in August for long?

Get what you love, and what you feel comfortable in...but IMO, it would be too hot for long sleeves in August.

What are the sleeves like? Are they soft and flowy, or are they lace, or heavy fabric? I think you can get away with an organza like sleeve in the summer, but the lace or heavy fabric might look a little funny in August. If you love the dress though, go for it. The guys are wearing tuxes, so I see no reason for the bride not to wear long sleeves if that's what she truly loves.

The dress is tooling, off the shoulder, very full with beading detail. It's not a heavy satin. I'll definitely be a lot cooler than the guys!

how are the sleeves (you have a pic), what material. I know I'd be too hot, between weather and nerves.

Re: Long Sleeves VS No Sleeves
What about having them shortened to 3/4 length sleeves.
I personally like sleeves, I am getting 3/4 length sleeves added to my dress, becasue it makes it different.

It's tooling and they're off the shoulder. Tooling definitely breathes.
