Re: LONG VEIL OR NOT!!!!
Im actually borrowing my FSIL's veil. Its a cathedral veil that cost her a lot of $$$ and is gorgeous..my something borrowed It has swarovski crystals on both sides. I havent gotten my dress yet but I dont intend on getting too much detail on the bottom. Its a nice touch to a dress but also only worn for the church and usually taken off. For me, if I wasnt borrowing one, I dont think I would get/wear one.

Re: LONG VEIL OR NOT!!!!
Since you say your dress has a lot of work on the back I would go with a short veil. My dress has some beadwork on the train and I don't want my veil to hide any of it.

Re: LONG VEIL OR NOT!!!!
My dress also has a lot going on. Im going to wear a plain fingertip veil. I tried it with the dress, and it looked really good. Also, Ill probably take it off during the reception anyway,

Re: LONG VEIL OR NOT!!!!
try a fingertip. It's not too long and not too short and it won't cover up any of your beautiful beading.

Re: LONG VEIL OR NOT!!!!
You can wear the long veil for the ceremony and take it off for the receotion, so you get the best of both worlds.

Re: LONG VEIL OR NOT!!!!
I read that the veil needs to bring the eyes to where the most detail is. If you want the focal point to be your train, then a cathedral length plain veil is appropriate.
