long vent--DID YOU EVER HEAR OF SEAMSTRESS' GETTING COMMISSION ON ALTERATIONS
i JUST FOUND OUT FROM MY FSI WHO WORKED AT THIS WELL KNOW BRIDAL SALON THAT THESE WOMEN GET COMMISSON ON ALTERATIONS
HERE IS MY STORY
I'm in my friends wedding this sat.
so i went for my fitting and the dress only zipe up 70% of the way!! So the first thing the lady says to me is 'oh honey you need a new back it is going to cost you $195
(FYI the dress only cost $185) So i got upset and said sorry but i'm not paying $195 i didn't gain any weight so to bad. i made this big stink. I told them to let out the dress first.
how can they tell me i need a new back when they didn't even try to let it out.
needless to say my dress fitts so well that they ended up taking it in.
my friend who is in the same bridal party
and who didn't know what happen to me
go told the same thing
but her dress ziped all the way but was very tight on her. She felt quilty for gaining a few pounds so when the lady said she needed a new back she said fine
this is robbery
she tried on the dress today and it was a tent on her
i told my FSIL and she told me that these ladys get commission on alterations
what a crock of s***
sorry so long but you girls should know just in case they tell you, you need something like that try the alternative way first.
