From the president you recieve a small card. If you want a Papal blessing from the Pope you go throught the vatican will send you a signed scroll. You have to have your priest write a letter stating you are in good standing and then all that goes to the Vatican offices. You can also have one from Rockville Center, its faster to get but I figure why not go to the top ![]()
Otherwise, I think you just get a card from them too.

I don't know about the Pope, but in my baby book is a card from the then US Pres wishing my parents congrats on the birth of their daughter. I also have one from US Pres for law school graduation, and a full hand signed letter from US VP for law school graduation.

the pope sends you a scroll from the Vatican, we did it for my neices's christening, (her godmother is a nun so we had some pull there
