OK. First of I feel like I have to say that i absolutely LOVED my engagament ring.. like I worshiped it. Anyway it was specialy made and I searched high and low for a wedding band that matched it. The ONLY band that would go was the same band as the side on my ring see pic...
and neither of us really liked how it looks, it kind of took away from the e ring.
So anyyywaay I spoke to like over 10 jewlers about my ering and they all told be that unless I reset my diamond I will not be able to find something that fits with the ring and trust me girls...I LOOKED. SO we made an appointment to talk to this diamond specialist at Kay (where he got my ering) and he said the same thing. Now Im almost in tears because I was like WHAT are we going to do. Then I saw it. They AMAZING antique setting that was the most beautiful ring I have ever seen. It was WAYY too expensive and we deicded not to get it, but then the guy and FH started talking about the military (both we in iraq) and the people at kay like adore us, I go there all the time and they all know us by name. So he decides to give us this AMAZING deal, and after a lot of crying (both happy and sad about my original ering) I decided that he proposed with the center stone and thats the most important and this ring will be both wedding/ering and Ill get married in it so it will be just as special. I will also get a plain silver band for the priest to bless when I cant wear this...
Here is my new bling. though it is hard to take pics of and looks even more beautiful in persom..... and PLEASE dont think Im a spoiled brat....I LOVED my original ring so much and I actually never wanted a crazy huge e ring.....BUT....here it is...
I call it my 'Paris/brittany' ring hahahaha
There are diamonds all o the sides as well but you cant see.
The BEST part is FH wants to go tonight to the place he proposed and do it again...***SWOON***

Will you wear your w-band and your e-ring on separate hands? If not, what band have you chosen...it must look unbelievable together. Congrats!

I am not going to have a wedding band. I know it isnt really traditional but with this ring it is just not needed. I figured it is sort of a wedding band by itself because he proposed with a different ring. I dont know. I also will get a verrryyyy plain , maybe even silver band to wear when I dont want to risk wearing this one.
The thing is I never liked big rings. I always though over a carat looked 'too much' but when I put this on...I just fell in love with the antiqueness of it. It is so classicly gorgeous

Well we found things that matched it but my band is SO thin that anything with a little 'UMMFF' to it was too high to wear with my e ring. The ONLY thing fit with it was the band that was exactly the same as the one my e ring sat on without the center stone. It just didnt look right on me. Even my mom and FMIL didnt like it together.
I miss my old ring dearly, but I will always have our e pics and am happy with the decision we made.
