ok I'm not totally sure because every time i try to do it i get a different outcome but you have to open the picture you want to color in, then open up a duplicate of that picture. Change the duplicate to black and white and place the black and white picture exactly over the color picture. Then use the eraser on the parts of the black and white that you want colored and the color should come through.

Eventually you have to buy it but you can download the 30 day free trial for now.
