i got crafty today and decided to make my FG pomander (kissing) balls.....I didnt want to do real flower ones b/c the girls will destroy them before we even get to pictures!
I bought: 4 inch styrofoam balls - $2.50 each 2 bunches of white silk hydrengia - $3.00 each 3 bunches of pink silk hydrengia - $3.00 each 2 strings of clear crystal beads - $2.50 each 1 package of jewelry wire - $3.00 (for the handle)
everything but the flowers came from Michaels....i was waiting for michaels to put their silk flowers on sale but I found them SOOOOO much cheaper in Walmart! hows it look??? I may add some green crystals scattered b/c my colors are raspberry pink and apple green.
OMG those are sooo much fun!!!!!!!!!!!! I think i want to try to make one!!!!

FIY: if your gonna try it on your own for each individual flower i pulled off the stem dabbed a bit of hot glue and stuck it back onto the flower b/c little kids might try to pull the flowers out so i'm hoping this will help keep them on there better.

Oh I love those and those are my colors.
You're right about them destroying the real ones, for my brothers wedding the 2 FGs has real balls and by the time we got to the RH they had picked every flower out of the ball, they must have thought it was fun.
