Looked at Limos last night

Looked at Limos last night

Okay, we have a large BP. With the two of us thats 21.

SO our options for limos is kinda limited. These are the three options we came up with

A) 2-14 passengers and parents can ride in limos
B) 1 Yukon that holds 20 and hope that since 3 are young we can all fit
C) 1 rolls royce to take me and my dad to church, and then FH and I to the park for pictures, and then we get in the 46 passenger party bus with BP, their dates and our parents.

Which would you go with.

Oh and if we go with option C, (since thats what FH really likes. He said the bus is like a club on wheels and was all excited and cute about it), how would we get everyone back into Queens?

Thanks girls!

Just to let you know, some limo drivers won't leave unless everyone is in a seat. I have a big bridal party so I'm gonna get a rolls royce and an Excursion Limo.

Thanks.

My reasoning is, that FH and I want to be with everyone on the long ride out there. And i want to be able to take the nice pictures of me getting into a regular limo, so if we go with the bus, that why we are also getting the rolls for picture sake.

I personally like the Escalade and the Hummer plus they hold alot of people!

tough situation! don't forget that the # of ppl a limo can 'hold' , you should really subtract 2 ppl from that.

like a 14 passenger lincoln--includes the DRIVER and the front seat--so really its a 12 passenger car.

would it be really expensive to have Option C and then have just a pick-up/drop-off with the bus later on? a friend of mine did that for her wedding.

I agree...I chose c. I think it is more convenient to have one large bus for everyone and like FH said...it's so much more fun!

Option C is the most expensive, but FILs are Okay with that option since its the one Fh really wants. We were thinking of asking how much it would cost to have the bus come back at the end of the night, but we're worried about the cost of that.

I choose the last one, bec I want 2 limos and a RR. But now you got me thinking if I should have a party bus instead of 2 limos for my BP or one limo for my family, one bus and one car for me and FH

well i have a large bp too and were doing a rolls and also the party bus which iam excited about it...i think it will be fun to all go on that, hanging out walking around, drinking, dancing whatever

and just like MJDOC mentioned if a limo holds up to 20 ppl then actually figure for 18 plus also your dress will take up some space so remember that.

i am not really sure what i would choose

but just wanted to let you know - that if you do the bus there are certain roads they cant travel on

we had to take sunrise highway from Queens to the Carltun in Eisenhower Park and it took FOREVER so you may have to factor that in to travel time

now - this is what the driver told us but i think i have seen busses on like all major highways so i was confused.

But are you and FH going to have your own car or are you going to be with the BP after the church??

The Yukon hold 22. So when i say 20, thats taking that into consideration. The person we met with said they wouldnt put more than 20 in there.

okay there are a few things to consider...
if you don't go with option C how is everyone getting home at the end of the night? were the dates going to meet at the venue and then drive home?

i think option C is the best one. you could always ask the limo company for a pickup at the end of the night. you don't need the fancy party bus, it might be cheaper to do plain white vans or something.

you could also have some of the BP with larger cars leave them at the venue the night before and then carpool back to queens that night. that way the cars are there for going home the next night.

i wish we had a bigger BP or a larger distance between church and venue b/c i think a party bus would be amazing.

Re: Looked at Limos last night

I definately wouldn't go with option B. It will be a tight squeeze even with the 3 youngins and with everyones dresses. My Dad drove limos of all sorts for much of my life. The front seat is considered seating to my knowledge never the drivers seat though. And always count 2 passangers less then what the car 'holds'. Personally I'd choose A as I prefer to arrive in a limo as opposed to a party bus however both would be accoidating. Good Luck!

Re: Looked at Limos last night

I went to clear choice limo and I got a hummer limo at a great price. They are also great because they don't automatically charge a 20% gratuity. They are located in Huntington on New York Ave. I called a million places and they seemed to be the best priced. Good luck.

yes alot of highways dont allow cars over a certain height, for example grand central parkway doesnt allow trucks, but i do see buses on there. This is why im also giving myself extra time bc of this
