Looked at Swan Club and Riviera

Looked at Swan Club and Riviera

I went to see The Swan Club today. LOVED IT! I thought I was going to book at that second!!!! Will def. bring FH back for a food tasting and to check out the grounds. Had some time left so I went to the Riviera in Massapequa took a chance they would have time to show me the place and they did. I LOVED that too. The 2 places couldn't be more different, but I loved them for diff. Reasons. Swan Club, well, the grounds and where the ceremony takes place. Just beautiful. We looked at the Camelot Room and just thought it was perfect! The Riviera was wonderful too bc it's 1 wedding at a time and the room has a beautiful water view. The indoor and outdoor ceremony sites were nice as well. Decisions, decisions!!!! Still going to look at Flowerfield and East Wind next week, then must decide where to bring FH to make the final choice.

Any opinions???? HELP!!! LOL

Re: Looked at Swan Club and Riviera

I am going to the Riviera on Friday (also plan on checking out the Floral Terrace and Jericho Terrace). I hear the grounds of the Riviera are beautiful, but I have heard mixed things about the food, service, and room being too tight so I am a bit on the fence. Still, I would like to go check it out for myself.

FYI - Flowerfield is in an entirely different price range than the other three. Not sure if this matters to you but wanted to give a heads up.

Re: Looked at Swan Club and Riviera

i looked at and liked both... i ended up booking at the Swan Club and could not be happier.

I based my decision on a few things.
~ price - really look at what you get for your money because price can be misleading
~ cocktail hr room - i loved the room at the Swan Club, due to size I was concerned about having the cocktail hr at the Rivera inside if it rained
~ accessibility for guests from the church
~ nearby hotels: transportation options/distance
~ picture options - grounds, indoor/outdoor
~ number of guests - Swan Club can accommodate more people

with both locations the only real negative that i saw was the lack of the reveal for the main reception room, but i have since decided that its not that big of a deal.

Whatever one you end of choosing will be a great choice

Best of luck

I looked at the riviera, flowerfield, and east wind. i really fell in love with east wind. it's so pretty and the prices arent bad. riviera was really nice, but i have never been to the swan club so i couldn't really tell you which i like better. flowerfield was also great but it was pricey. definitely look at east wind though! and if money isn't an issue, definitely look at flowerfield!

Re: Looked at Swan Club and Riviera

Thanks Ladies. I think I'm leaning a little more towards Swan Club today. Even though Riviera was 1 wedding at a time, the room we looked at at Swan Club (Camelot Room) feels like we'll have that 'whole side' of the place and there is no reason for any other wedding to be over there when we are so it will have that 1 wedding feeling. I just loved it there. Riviera might have moved a few spaces back after spending the night thinking about it. Still gonna look at Flowerfield and East Wind. But this time I go out looking, I'll be comparing to Swan Club and not looking blindly!

Thanks again for your opinions. Def. helped!
