Looking for a family style restaurant in manhattan?

Here's the deal....I really wanted to take 25 people to Carmines in manhattan instead of a Bachelor/Batchelorette party. But they are booked. Can anyone recommend a good restaurant, family style for about 25 bucks a person? Thanks so much

Nick's on the Upper East Side is very casual, but very good. They have huge portions. FH used to live up there, so we went a few times, usually with a big group.

well Carmine's would have been my recommendation too but as an alternative you can try Tony's of DiNapoli...its right by Carmine's. The food is decent (not as good as Carmine's) but they have really good sangria

Tony DiNapoli's on the Upper East Side . . . great food, family style, very affordable. I think it's on 2nd ave in the 80's!

Did you check with both Carmine's? There's one on the Upper West Side as well as the one in Times Square.

I was going to suggest this. I actually prefer the one on the upper west side.

I don't know if you specifically want italian, but almost any Asian restaurant you will be able to do family style.

FH likes tony's better, he thinks carmines puts too much garlic in their food, i love garlic so dont mind...i like both

the penne ala vodka with mushrooms from tonys is AMAZING...tonys does have more a home cooking feel to it
