Okay, so I LOVE roses (pink roses ) and I want lots of them around on my wedding day...bok's centerpieces...cake..church...etc.. I know they tend to be expensive, but I also know that some florists charge the same amount for any flower you choose. Please let me know if you know of or are using/have used a florist that will charge me the same amount for roses as they would any other flower!!! thanks

I've found that LA Blossom is really reasonable. You could also do a post on the vendors board.

Definately check out Flowers By Emil . Carmine is wonderful to work with and very reasonable. Check out luvsun27's proofs. She recently used him.

Burtons will give you any flower, any style, set price.

Since they are so widely available and there are many different qualities available all year round...roses can be a more inexpensive flower.
Florists can buy roses for about $5 per dozen (if not cheaper)...there arent many flowers that come cheaper than that.

I am the opposite of you, I don't want that many roses if any at all. But I know my florist kept trying me to add more roses becuase they are cheaper than other flowers. I'm using Masters and Co in Rockville Centre.

see that is what I had originally thought...but some of the florists I have spoken with have told me that my cp's will cost more because roses are expensive. I have heard good things about La blossom and laurie so I will be sure to check her out, among some others. Thanks everyone!

Re: Looking for a florist who...
What are they comparing it to? I would be very leary of a florist telling you roses are expensive. I mean, flowers are expensive in general...so its partly true..but all flowers are expensive - roses aren't particularily expensive when you compare them to more rare types of flowers or things that require special preparation or out of season items.
The thing that might be 'expensive' is a very tightly packed cp instead of one full of fillers like leaves and babys breath, etc.. But that would be true no matter what you picked.
