Hi Ladies And Congrats to all the brides who have had their special day since last I logged on. Unfortunately we are now looking for another vendor the previous one was not willing to work with us. Always asking for money and our event (renewing our vows) was booked 2 1/2 years away. And we had to fight tooth and nail to get our deposit back, but they did keep $500 of it. Which I felt they should of returned I am more than sure they would be able to book that date any way we have searched on line and here are some of the choices I am asking for your help pick your favorite and tell me why the food has to be phenomenon and top shelf liquor only 150 guest

I voted Russo's on the Bay. If we had the money then that would've been the place for us.

Re: Looking for a new Vendor
I don't know much about any of these, but i thought i'd mention to check out the Lombardi's. I like the one on the sound, and villa's. I paid way less than 150 pp. Everyone raves about the food everywhere I go. The cocktail hour is insane too! I'm so excited for it. In January they will have a bridal showcase, where they set up the cocktail just as it will be that day.

If your talking about Villa Lombardi's, they only do 2 weddings at a time.

Crest Hollow is gorgeous (I am biased since I am getting married there). They have been great to work with and I have been there before and the food was amazing!

Re: Looking for a new Vendor
Alot of those placese that you listed is going to give you a hard time with only 150 people unless you are doing a day wedding.
crest hollow, fox hollow and swan club would be your best bet!

Re: Looking for a new Vendor
My last place we had to guarantee only 200 I believe we could do 200 but I figure to keep the cost down I would try to drop it down to 150

Re: Looking for a new Vendor
Obviously i am voting the inn LOL But the guarantee is usually 225 for a night wedding.
Crest hollow food is fantastic! Russos is amazing..
There is also a cost difference in the venues you listed.. does that factor into your decision?

Westbury manor doesn't give a hard time about 150 for an evening wedding at all.

Re: Looking for a new Vendor
I am getting confused. So if we want a night wedding we would need to do 200 guests or more why??? What happened to small and intimate. what about the watermill. has anybody been here? my co-worker just booked this vendor for the month of June and she only had to guarantee 175 and her plates are $120 on a Saturday night.

Re: Looking for a new Vendor
I voted the Inn at New Hyde Park. The food is excellent and it's one wedding at a time. The only thing is that the guarantee of people is a little high. If you're able to make the minimum, then you should definately check it out..
Russos is also fabulous! The food is excellent and they have really nice rooms.
