I found a little snowman nativity set in my latest LTD catalog...I was going to order it because I like the idea of having a nativity...but am not especially religious. i think it was $8
I love the Precious Moments one....althought thats probably not what you are looking for...Fortunoff Christmas Store always has a wide variety of nativities at different prices

My mom got me a Fontanini one two years ago, and told us that she'd be buying us a piece to add to it each year. I love it.
I think she got it at the Limited Edition on Merrick Road in Bellmore.

We have the Precious Moments Miniature one. We both love it and have added pieces to it since we've gotten married.

I love the traditional Lenox one - but saw a non-brand name porcelain one at JCPenney's during the holidays last year, which was really nice. I think they may have had a colorful one too.
this may sound weird bu tmy aunt got a beautiful one from Costco

Try your neighborhood Pharmacy (I'm NOT talking about CVS here, I'm referring to the mom and pop). Many of them have little gift departments, and often have nice surprises in them, like nativity scenes.

MY DH has the older version of that & his parents still add a piece on each year for him. So it's a good set, it's been around for years. They had a lot of pieces for it in Treausure Island.
I have a little one that I bougth in CVS, that actually isn't bad.

I got this last year from my inlaws:
It's by Willow Tree and the whole set is $258.00. Still alot but probably less than Lenox for the whole set.

I love the willow tree one, it was a toss up between that one and the one I purchased(price played a big role in the decision)
