So Im looking for an apt 1-2 bedroom for $1700 and under in nassau county. I know this price sound crazy low, but I refuse to pay sooooooo much for an apt.

Would you be interested in a studio? It's great for 2- I live there now with my fiance but I have to sell b/c we don't think we are going to stay in NY.
I'm selling though, not looking to rent but with a 20% dp your monthly payment will be less than $1k a month.

This!!! I've seen some really nice apts in queens for $1600 that are 2 bedrooms...and queens is more expensive than nassau...so you will be good!
