Cafe Wha is pretty cool, I am not sure if they have food there but, they have tables and a cover band and people dance. You have to make reservations so you are guaranteed a table.

Mangia e Bevi is a popular place to go as well. I didn't get to go for my friend's bach party there but, they have Italian food and dancing.

I don't know if you are interested or not, but my club does these strip tease lessons (private) - they are pretty fun. I sat in on my girlfriends' once, it was hilarious.

If you want, look into it.

It's not a club club- it's a gentlemen's club, but on Mondays and Saturdays, early, we offer these strip tease classes in the private rooms of the club. It's definitely different and unique- and pretty wild.

Yes, they are both in the city. Cafe Wha is down in the West Village and Mangia e Bevi is on the west side in the high 40's low 50's. I believe someone else has had their bachelorette party at Mangia e Bevi and there may have even been a NYC gtg there.

Are you looking to do dinner and dancing at the same place or possibly close by each other?

I know the perfect place. Its a restaurant called SUBA. It has very delicious spanish food. If you go there eat downstaris there is a moat that goes around the dining area. There is an extra room in the back that they turn into a dance area at night. I'm not sure what nights they do this so you should call them. When I went the music was really good and the food was delicious. They have a website but I can't seem to find it.

109 Ludlow Street
Between Rivington and Delancy
212-982-5714.

If I come up with more I'll post it on this thread for you.
GOod luck!!

Edited to add the website address: http://subanyc.com/

I really like Bed and Hudson Bar.

I'm not sure about dancing but Lucky Chang's is a popular bachelorette spot.

No, they played a little spanish music but it was mostly dance. And by spanish I mean spanish dance like shakira and Juanes. No bachata or merenge or salsa.
Also their Spanish food isn't rice and beans. THeir chef (I think they may have changed chef) was from Spain. I think he's from San Sebastian so its more innovative.

i LOVE suba!! I love the grotto -it's so pretty. but i think it's more restaurant than dancing.

Hudson bar is cool too, but not really any dancing in there. I don't think cafe wha is the atmosphere you're looking for if you're comparing to sequioa

how about Kanvas? You can reserve a party there downstairs and the drinks are pretty good. in the room downstairs there is dancing and sitting around on sofas
