Looking for a small reception hall

Hi everyone,

I just got engaged this past Sunday after 8yrs! Woo Hoo!

I was wondering if any one could suggest a few receptions sites in LI that would cater to a small wedding of about 60 - 80 people. We would like to have something classy, yet intimate. Any help is really appreciated!

thx again!

Congrats!

Westbury Manor has a room upstairs for your size party. I would also try the George Washington Manor..I think it's in Roslyn. Also Danford's on the Sound in Port Jefferson (and I think in Babylon) should accomodate you.

There are tons of threads regarding smaller RHs. If you do a search for small wedding you should find lots of ideas.

Oh also try Smithtown Landing Golf Club or Stonebridge Golf Links and Country Club. I think they are 1 wedding at a time.

That's the reason we chose Danfords. Definitely check them out.

My party is about 70-75 people I highly recommend Westbury Manor. Your size party is perfect for them and it is a very intimate venue. I also suggest Sans Souci of Sea Cliff and the Swan Club

Congrats!

My wedding will be about 50-60 people as well. I am booked at Leonards but at their very small room (Empire).

Other RH you may like include:

-Swan Club (Roslyn)
-Sans Souci (Roslyn)
-George Washington Manor (Roslyn)
-Manor East (Massapequa)
-Westbury Manor (Westbury)
-Coral House (Baldwin)
-Verdis of Westbury

Also search this board under key terms 'small wedding' and 'RH for small weddings'.

If you want the best food ever (IMHO), speak to the Milleridge about their carriage house. One wedding at a time, and the most incredible food ever!

Congratulations on your engagement!!

Re: Looking for a small reception hall

Thanks so much everyone! I made an appointment to go see the Smithtown Landing Golf Club next weekend.

I would pay up to $100 per person max
I am pretty open about dates in the summer of 2010, but would prefer June 5, 2010 if possible.

Look into Westbury Manor, Sans Souci in Sea Cliff, and the Metropolitan in Glen Cove.

We had e-party at sans souci and they were great. pics in my album. The met has a downstairs private room called the club thats great. It has a separate cocktail hour area and then a reception room for about 100 people. i believe min is around 50 people. There is a small dance floor and room for dj if u want. The food is great and service too. We wanted to have eparty there so bad. FH's best friend works there and i have been to xmas parties there and it is great. hoping to have rd there....Give them a shot

Maybe also Larkfield Manor. We met with them.. I think they told us we can guarantee 90 ppl on a sat night. They may give you a lower min if you are willing to get married on a friday or sunday.

Vetro in Howard Beach Queens. It is the new addition to Russo's on the Bay only for smaller affairs!

Westbury Manor and the Swan Club both have rooms that would cater to this size. I absolutely love both places!! Good luck :)

Congrats! I'm in the same position- having about 70-80 and having trouble finding a hall! I feel like a lot of these places have a beautiful main room, and then the smaller room is not so great.

But we're still looking!!

The Metropolitan & Stewart Manor CC can definitley accomodate a smaller party.

Good luck!!
