There are a bunch of awesome Italian places on Old Country Rd that would probably be reasonable. Can't think of their names off the top of my head though.

I know a great restaurant in Garden City, And it's not too expensive. The Orchid, it's chinese cuisine. It's across from the Garden City Hotel. (they have great drinks!)

this is where i'm planning my rehearsal dinner! their food isn't your typical greasy chinese food take-out...

I know! When you hear chinese, you usually think of take-out, but this place is so much nicer! I love the carvings they do of the animals, plus the staff is really friendly.

try a little little more east on jericho - try Pencenzo...they have an amazing room that can hold i think up to 100 people? and the food is great and the starter menu is awesome..you can add to it whatever you feel you would like.

they gave me a free jar of homemade sauce when i popped my head in to check out the joint.

I second Verdi's!! I had my engagement party there--the food is fantastic.

It's a hall though, not a resturaunt so it may be more expensive.

Do try the Orchid also--the food is yummy!!!
