Looking for inexpensive tires for my car

I have a 2001 Chevy Prizm LSI with 185/65/R14's, and I am looking for inexpensive tires. I got a price of $70 each and a price of $45 each so far from two different places. I also know that Pepboys has cheap tires for $34.95 each for my car. I am probably going to go with that, but I figured I would ask around if anyone knew of a better place to get tires. I will have to get a 4 wheel alignment too.
Thanks,
Scott

I don't remember the name of the place but DH took me somewhere in Huntington and it was the cheapest anywhere when he researched getting me new tires ... okay, I think this was the place ...

Re: Looking for inexpensive tires for my car

Don't rule out BJs Wholesale or Costco either.

I used to have a friend in the business but he sold his shop, otherwise I would refer you to him.

WE have always gone to Costco and had no problems with the tires or the installation!

Costco and Sears usually have the best deals.

Re: Looking for inexpensive tires for my car

I don't know if they are cheap but they are great to work with: CostCo. If there is a problem, like a nail or something. They can 'road hazard' the tire and depending on how much tread is gone, either give you a new one or pro-rate a replacement. I will never get tires anywhere else again.

My mom got cut off on her way home once and curbed a tire pretty well. They were so nice and helped so much. She actually did damage whatever the tire goes on and we had to get a new one from a junk yard. They told us where to go and put it on when we got it.

Re: Looking for inexpensive tires for my car

I have to agree, Costco tires are great! And they rotated them for me after 7,500 miles at no charge!

Re: Looking for inexpensive tires for my car

I ended up going to Wonderama in Valley Stream. I got Kumho tires, new front brakes, and a 4 wheel alignment. Yesterday was an expensive day
