Re: Looking for palebride!!!

We applied for the SONYMA, even though we were assured we were perfect candidates and met all the criteria (our mortgage broker didn't take into consideration that my FI was self-employed and had deductions), we were rejected when it went to the underwriter.

Is it just you applying for the SONYMA or the both of you?

YOu need make under a certain amount $$$ to apply and the house has to be under a certain amount of $$. Have you checked out the website? The criteria has changed sinced we applied.

Re: Looking for palebride!!!

The underwriters need more paperwork from you then for a regular mortgage which can really hold up the process.

Are you using a Mortgage broker or going to a bank?

not to worry!!!!
help is here!!!
palebride to the rescue!!!!!!

i FMed you some information about it.
It was a nightmare for us (well me - i was the only one on the loan since our combined income was too much) because of the bank we went through i think. the woman who processed the loan was about as smart as my hairdryer and she took forever to get everything done, lost a bunch of things and neglected to tell me of others. So i think it was a combination of the additional SONYMA paperwork (and there is a lot of it!!!) and the incompetence I was dealing with.
It takes longer than a regular mortgage....but saved us over $4000 and we got an awesome % rate!!!
So in my mind, now that i'm through with it - it was worth it!!!
good luck!!!

Re: Looking for palebride!!!

I used a Mortgage Broker and she was just as bad.

Definitely get a recommendation for a good mortage broker or someone at a bank.

If I had to do it all over again, I would have gone via a bank.
