looking for possible night job....
no, not that kind of night job
Just looking for any suggestions I guess.... I stay home with my 3 year old and right now it would be easiest if I had something for evenings/nights. My hubby will be going into a program within his company and will be taking a paycut to do it and we JUST bought our first place.
In the end it will be well worth the sacrifice though. He's talking about finding a second job but I want/need to do something. I have a BA degree but I just don't think there's anything too descent out there at those hours...

Re: looking for possible night job....
I don't know where you live. But what my Mom did was she got a job with photonews in Bethpage they published the bethpage tribune and a few other things and advertisments she was able to work from 8:30 to 11pm doing editing, typing, typesetting, cropping and loved the extra money as well as the adult conversation.Maybe look for something like that...
Other option again it's something I did while living in Bethpage. Sleepys Mattress' had there headquarters right off the 135 in Bethpage and I was able to get hours in the evening answer phones, setting up orders, handling orders, transactions... they are a terrible company to work for though but it helped pay my way through school and bills...
but alas there is night work out there

Maybe you could try for something at Stonybrook. I know at LIJ they have overnight workers taking emergency phone calls/clerical/secretarial type of things. Good luck!

Re: looking for possible night job....
I know you're looking for night jobs, but another possibility is also daycare. I know you stay home with your son, but you would at least be at the daycare with him and could visit and have lunch, etc. And you'd still all be able to be home at night with DH, and have the weekends off.Just another possibility. :)
Best of luck with your search!

Retail is always a possibilty, they tend to have pretty flexible part-time hours. You could also look into being a hostess at a restaurant.Welcome New Vendors
