Looking for small rhinestone buckles for my invites...

Help!

Hi ladies I'm looking for small rhinestone buckles for my invitations for the belly band. I don't want to pay alot so I'm hoping I can get a wholesale order of some sort.

I've been googling but not finding anything cheap enough to use on my invites.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

What about the garment district in the city? The sewing shops? Somewhere you can buy things to make clothing....like Joanne's fabrics???

Yeah I found one 'lot' for sale on ebay but it wasn't the type of rhinestone buckle I want.

I found a post on here that said that Walmart has them for $1.73 for a pack of 3, but I don't see them on walmart.com, so I may have to see if the store near me has them.

I can't believe it's not easier to find a wholesale lot of these things for cheap. They don't have to look super fancy or anything, but just serve their purpose and not be expensive.

I don't know anyone who works in fashion or i'd ask for a tip on a great store. It can't hurt posting on here asking about that - but from what i've seen on the 'what do you do for a living' threads - i don't recall anyone in fashion.

Walmart Super Centers usually have a HUGE sewing section. Next time i'm in one i'll make a point of heading in that direction. I can't honestly tell you when that will be - but i will let you know!

Try this site...not as cheap as I'd want...but cheaper than other things I've seen.

theres a store on 6th avenue in NYC b/t 35th and 36th or 36th and 37th sorry cant remember the name.. but they carry rhinetone buckle like stuff.. i'm assuming you mean a small rectangle shape that you can feed a ribbon thru??

if not there theres a few along 6th avenue that carry things to that nature.. When you buy in bulk you get good prices..

Thanks! I'll see if I can go into the garment district after work tomorrow. I used to work right near there, but we moved back downtown.

I'm definitely going to check walmart too...this weekend.

Re: Looking for small rhinestone buckles for my invites...

So I went and did a little research on friday.

I went to walmart, they do have packages of 'rhinestone like' buckles (3 for $1.73, but they are different shapes). I didn't like them much because they look kind of like plastic and don't really shine. You can use them to make a sample though before you purchase the real thing.

I went to to the garment district and found a trimming store called Margola Corp (48 West 37th street). I worked with Lorraine. The phone number is 212-695-1115. They have all sizes of rhinestone buckles. I found a small round buckle that I liked that costs $7.91 per dozen. That works out to be about $0.66 for each buckle. They have a 10 dozen minimum order which is fine with me, since I need at least 150 of them. So I figure I can order all of the buckles I need for about $110 or so before taxes, which isn't that bad.

I'm going to try and search the garment district a little more, but I think that's going to be the best deal I can find.
