looking for smaller venues

Hello there!
I'm brand new to all of this. (Just got engaged last month). My fiance and I are looking to have a fall wedding next year, hopefully with a ceremony and possible cocktail hour outside. (Weather permitting) The problem is, we are having a smaller wedding (60-75 people), and we are having the hardest time finding a venue. Does anybody know of any places in Suffolk County that does that type of a wedding? We have already looked at Trumpets at the Gate, and a few of the vineyards, but beyond that, we are stuck. We would appreciate any info you have.

Thanks!

Check out my venue - The Old Field Club (in Setauket).

Pictures are in my album. You can also see more pictures of a recent wedding of one of the 2007 girls here:

If you haven't yet, get a copy of sites and services magazine. they have a ton of venue's in there with pic's, pricing and capacity, etc..

It is a good way to see what's out there. Good Luck!!

The Riviera in massapequa. Oh, that might be Nassau . . . sorry! The Riverview is great for smaller weddings and has indoor/outdoor!

Trumpets at the Gate in Eastport...it is beautiful!!!

You can have cocktail hour outside, right on the water.... we are getting married there 10/31/09 and it will be so pretty with the leaves changing and all... check it out!!

I have to warn you that Friday night weddings are $139pp and Saturday night $149pp.... pricey but the food is phenomenal....the location is great.. and you are the only wedding going on there. You have the whole place to yourself!

Thanks for all the great ideas ladies! I look forward to looking into them! I have a great feeling about this website, and it's nice to see that I am not the only one looking for answers. I have been reading the posts for a few weeks now, and finally decided to become one of the community...and I'm certainly glad I did!

for a small wedding at Westbury Manor, I'm not sure if you can use the gardens. They showed me the upstairs for 60 people and said the gardens were for the weddings downstairs.
