Looking for unique, beautiful invites? - Vendor Rave!

Ok, so I have been having a REALLY hard time finding invitations that I like. A while back an '06 bride (itslaurie.) recommended April Studios. I recently emailed them to purchase a sample of their invites and was SHOCKED when the owner said that she'd send me 'an assortment' of invites for FREE.

So I got them yesterday, and while my scanner doesn't work, I just wanted to let you know that the quality and uniqueness of these invites is AMAZING! She sent me a variety of invites, menus, thank you cards, place cards, etc. All BEAUTIFUL and vibrant, and different from anything I've seen.

While they ARE pricey, I'm really impressed by their stuff and might get ours from there. FH loved them too!

Here are pics from the website (which is: April Studio )

All of the invites are fully customizable (is that a word?! ) and each invite has the same graphic design on the other side of it in reverse colors....if that makes sense (you can see from the first pic that the back of the invite is that bright red color). Totally beautiful and unique! They help you if you have certain graphics in mind, etc.

Check em out if you're looking for fun, bright invites!

I just copied images from the website!

Well, I'm not really sure. We'd totally customize our own, in our colors (sages, greens, creams, tans, etc). I like the layout of this invite best I think:

But we'd change the colors and use a ribbon to tie the belt-part closed (she sent us an example of one like that - but there isn't one on the site...)

We'd also get matching place cards, menus, and table numbers through them.

Thats my onlyyyyyyyyy complaint. The paper quality is AWESOME. Very different - not your typical invite paper. But everything is flat. Which I'm not a fan of.... But the graphics and colors are so bold that I'm willing to sacrafice the texture of the printed words for the beauty of the invite!

And I don't want to write my paper (I now have one page.... It's only supposed to be 2 - YAY!)

I know what you mean, I requested invites from TashaRaeDesigns which I LOVE as well but I can't get past the flat printing. I keep thinking to myself - I can do them myself with flat printing.

I KNOOOOOOOOW!!! I kinda feel the same way, but i think i can get past it. I really like her designs and everything I've seen with recycled paper so far has suucked!!!

Honestly Bonnie I wouldn't worry about it too much....do people really look at invites and go, well they're nice but the print isn't raised....
