Looking in a diff direction...

Okay... So I have been iffy on this whole RH thing... I like different and always have and its the main reason why I havent booked the RH yet... I have always liked the idea of a cruise ship wedding sooo

Soon2BMrsP brought up to me the idea of Nautical Cruise Lines out in Freeport... It seems like a really good deal and I've searched on here and overall, people have had good experiences with them.

To put it bluntly, FH doesnt care where the hell we have the wedding. He basically said its all up to me, but his concern was 'what happens if theres a storm that day???'

What do you girls think??? Do you have any firsthand experiences with this type of event?? Like/dislikes etc...

Thank you. I did see that on their website! I'm going to inquire a bit more about it, but just wanted some honest opinions from the girls

that could be fun! but keep in mind that youre getting married in august, and look at how the past 2 weeks have been. crazy crazy crazy rain. the LAST thing you want is to be stuck on a boat when katrina like rain comes through out of nowhere

Sounds like something to consider...only thing is to think about guests who might get motion sick? The rain/weather issue is big too...even if it is humid you might not want to be outsid eya know?

No bad ideas just ones to think about!

Besides, you have to think through the 'bad' ideas to get to the really great ones!

Think about your guest and how nice it would be if it doesnt rain.... the only way to know is going there to see the boat and the accomadation they have if it rains and also ask them if you can put a earlier start time for guest to arrive because you dont want people to miss the boat

Re: Looking in a diff direction...

A friend of mine attended a wedding on the cruises that go around manhatten. I think that would make for some wonderful pictures.

I was considering this but I really fell in love with my hall.

I believe if there is rain the ship will sail the reception won't be on deck there will be a ballroom.

Also if you are still considering this, have the ceremony someplace other than on the boat, indoors hopefully.
