I do not own a home or have renters insurance. Will getting insurance be expensive for my e-ring?

Renters insurance is very cheap...under 200 for the year. what is teh insurance for?
do you mean insurance for your ring? if so I would check out jewelers mutual (online) - everything can be done online you just have to scan and email them copies of the appraisal & ring description... they are VERY reasonable.
If you mean jewelry insurance, I don't know what the cost is, but renter's insurance is only a couple of hundred (at the most) a year. However, adding the jewelry rider increased my premium by 100%
jeweler's mutual is chearper than renters or even most homeowners policies, and is actually better coverage - it covers damage, loss, while in your home or anywhere else (even out of the country).
I am going to look into Jeweler's Mutual. I currently have it under my parents homeowners, but it's up for renewal, and as I will only be in their home for 6 more months it doesn't make sense.
I just notebooked this!!!! Thank you!!!
We originally added ours to our homeowners and took it off cause it was over $500/yr so now we are looking into jewelry insurances
I recommend Jeweler's mutual
I used Jewelers Mutual. They are cheap and I heard that they are really good if you need to put in a claim.
Not at all! Check out Jewelers Mutual. I pay about $200/year for my insurance but it goes on the appraised value so your's could be more or less than that. For Suffolk County residents I believe the price is $16 per thousand a year. So if your ring appraises for $10k, your annual premium would be $160/year. There is also no deductible if you should lose your ring or it gets stolen, etc.
