most probably. catering halls cant not declare a wedding (which is thousands of dollars as income). if they dont declare this income there can be tax evasion issues. there would be too much income missing when their accountants did their tax returns.

You pay tax on the service charge. So it should be:
$xx +18% service charge + tax
Unfortunately since it's a service charge you pay tax on it. If it were a gratuity you wouldn't.
And then on top of that a tip this world is a crazzzzy place

IT should be adjusted to the present tax rate but the gratutity is usually set.
