-- for the honeymoon, we're buying a camera together. Right now I am using a 2 megapixed Elph Canon - pics aren't that great.
I'd like a 5 mega pixed with 4zoom and maybe panorama potential (might need a disposable for that though).
Does anyone have any recommendations. I also read up about those camcorder/camera combos. Good?
Thanks!

I have the thin sony cyber shot- I love it
but now they have a thinner one
I love it b/c it's so thin that you don't mind taking it places- it fits in your purse- even if the purse is small

buy at least a 5mp camera...canon or sony are rated great. look for a high optical zoom (4x, etc...)
I brought (for our HM) a Canon s70 which is great.
i will look for camera on sale later on

I have a Pentax Optio 550 which is 5mp. Love it! It has all the things you mentioned, and it takes awesome pictures.

i love canon cameras! I can be dumb as hell but with this brand i can easily maneuver it without a problem. and 5.0 mega pixel and up is recommended. have fun with what ever camera you choose! taking pictures is fun!

i second this - they are the camera for idiots - i almost never get blurry pictures from shaking ( only when i was horseback riding) - alot of my friends cameras are blurry because you cannot not shake them while it is taking the picture
the 5.0 one is great - i have the 4 and it still takes good- but there is better now then when i bought

If yoyu really want an awesome camera, I'd go for the Nikon D1000 or similar model. A digital SLR will give you the most versatility. Also, a panorama means nothing unless you have a wide angle lens, otherwise it's just cutting the top and bottom off a photo to look like a panorama.

Nikon D1000? or D100? Anyway, I have the Nikon D70S which is a phenomenal camera, but the body alone is around $900. Digital SLRs are pretty pricey....and you'll obviously need lenses....
