Loose rings in the winter? Help!

Loose rings in the winter? Help!

I was engaged in may, and until recently have only had my ring in warm weather... when fingers swell, etc. My ring fit fine in the summer, maybe slightly more loose than tight (it didnt dig into my finger).

However, now that it's cold out my rings are a LOT looser! Not falling off my finger loose, but enough where it makes me a little nervous.

Is there something I can do as a temporary thing to make my ring tighter in the winter that can come off in the summer? I want to make sure my ring fits on my wedding day!

Re: Loose ring?

i went to Rose jewelers in Patchogue, and they put a little metal (white gold) ring guard in that you can barely see. it's so much less cheesy than the plastic ones! i'm sure you can take it off yourself. they just clamp the metal around your ring, and it's thin metal. it's durable though, i've had mine on for months cuz i'm too lazy to go get it sized.
i think it cost 3 or 4 bucks.

edit: it goes on the inside, and just a metal loop is visible on the bottom outside of your ring. it's the same color as your ring, though.

I got my ring in the winter time and it got a little tight during the summer...I was wondering if I gained weight, but it all makes sense now..

I would get the balls put in, I have them and they work great.
