loosing weight?

loosing weight?

So, i had my first child about 8 months ago. i was a size 3-5 and after i had my daughter my body just went out of wack! im now in a size 10-11. i mean im not fat fat but i just dont feel confident as i once did. everyone keeps telling me that it will go down because it takes a year for your uterus to go back to its normal size, but i know alot of females who went right back to their jeans they wore before their pregnancy! i cant go to the gym, because i always have my daughter with me. and i cant find a sitter because the only person i trust to watch my daughter is my mother or my fiance (her father) . but they work crazy hours. my mom works until 11pm, and my fiance works until 6pm but by the time he gets home im pooped! my daughter has colic and they say it goes away after a certain age but her's just isnt going away. she cries and cries...so im losing all hope. i want to work out and its hard to eat right when i barely have time to get one meal in! i should have lost the weight by now.

i just feel like a slob and im just not happy with myself anymore, is anyone feeling somewhat similar to this and if so what are you doing about it? any diet suggestions? that i can do without having to pay money on diet programs? i wanted to do jenny craig but its too expensive considering im spending all my money on the wedding.

sorry for a very long post, but i had to vent my feelings out there. thanks for your time

about a yr ago I tried Weight Watchers and I lost 7 lbs in a mth...and it didnt even feel like I was dieting. I always recommened WW (even tho Im not on it now lol)...but it has been the best diet plan that has worked for me

Re: loosing weight?

I had my daughter 6 years ago, it took me 2 years to get the weight off. I took it off by just watching what I ate and doing tae-bo EVERYDAY. A DVD doesn't cost that much and you can do it while your daughter takes a nap. Take her for long walks in the stroller, the fresh air will knock her out. I bet you can find 2 friends who have taebo tapes but don't use them. Good Luck.

PS your daughter's colic will go away very soon, it just seems like forever!

Re: loosing weight?

you can join WW online - they usually run a special where 3 months is roughly $60. it's cheaper than going to meetings and you can track your weight online and enter all the food you eat into an online diary thing so you can count your points. they have a ton of really good recipes on there that you can try - my FH didn't even know they were WW half the time. it's really good because if you want a cookie, you eat a cookie, and it doesn't mess you up as long as you keep counting.

now that the weather's nice, why not try that and take long walks with your baby? or get a baby jogger stroller and go for runs? don't worry, it will all come off - I know how hard it is to be patient though!!

Try to buy tapes and when ur daugther is alseep , try do a tape while she is sleeping, or you can bring her out to do a workout also, take the stroller around the block and you can watch over her while you and her stroll around the block.

hope you help!!!!!

Re: loosing weight?

seriously workout at home. I am a big big taebo fanatic, it really works. My gf did walk away the pounds and WW and has lots tons of weight after her 3rd child was born. Go to target or walmart they sell them. The best thing about working out at home is that you can do it at anytime you are available and you do not have to leave the house.

If you're trying to save $$ (who isn't) then I recommend the diet my physician put me on. I attend a weight loss clinic and they put me on a 500 calorie diet (everyone says it's impossible, blah blah, blah). It's ABSOLUTELY possible. I did it and lost 18 lbs. in 8 weeks. I was NEVER hungry. I ate ONLY protein (chicken breast, steak, fish) for 3 days, then added certain veggies into it (NO tomatoes, potatoes, corn). If you eat 2 eggs for breakfast, chicken breast for lunch (or fat free ham) and steak & asparagus (for example) for 2 weeks. No doubt you WILL lose 10 lbs. I promise! FM me for more info.

I have a set of those, and they're great if you can't make it to the gym. You could probably do it if you put your daughter is a bouce chair or swing - the workout is about 30 to 45 minutes.

the firm step aerobics DVDs work wonders... and come with their own 14' step...

keep breast feeding, it will come off quickly!!!!
