Lost...

I feel lost... I feel like I should be doing things for the wedding. But it just seems so far away and that styles and designs are going to change before the wedding. It just seems so far away.

I felt the same way when I got engaged in January 2010. But it's never to early to book the Rh or the church.

Aww dont be discouraged...I feel the same way sometimes but to be honest you dont have as much time as you think.. For example one of my bffs ordered her dress over a year before her weding but it has taken 13 months to come in!! Shes so happy she ordered it when she did!! ...Also if you book vendors and stuff now you wont have to pay for it later so do it little by little it will help you in the long run!

I would say wait on your bridesmaids dresses and the little stuff but your option on your photographer shouldnt change if you really take the time to see all of them

Time will fly by and you have more time to do more research to make sure you get what you want... and things may change, but for the most part its all about what you like and what you want so i wouldn't put off planning just because its far off. Try to think of it as you have more time to find what you want and save more money... and maybe even make it a little less stressful!

What do you have booked so far? It's never too early to do things.

As for your dress/BM dresses/flowers/invitations, I would wait a little before looking at those because styles change and you might change your mind a few times as you're looking.

I agree that I would wait with regard to invitations, dresses, etc. But things like the hall/church/dj/photographer I do not think it is too early.

Also, with the Florist you do not pick out the actual things now. You more talk about your visit (you should wait till you have that) and what you are looking for. This can be changed. You are more booking the person or company you want to work with.

Also, you can start to look and meet with people and wait to actually book them. But just remember if it is someone you love you should follow up and make sure they are available.

I agree its definately not too soon to book your RH/Church/DJ/Photo/Video... and dont worry time will FLY!

I agree, focus on the RH and Church then start looking for the other vendors later on. Your taste might deff change so hold off on the dress and BM dresses later. You can even book your music and flowers and decide on the actual flowers and playlists later on.

We booked the RH and the ceremony site already. We booked back in November. I am so excited about that. I also finally get to show my parents the place because they live in Texas and have not been up here since I got engaged!

I think that we will start looking into the DJ, photographer and the florist soon.

You can't go wrong with booking your RH and church... they fill up quick (u'd be surprised!), plus you can get 2011 prices

do the little stuff get your garter and stuff because once the little stuff is done all you have to do is the big stuff and look into dresses because if you see a dress you love get it as long as you love it then what does it matter. Save more money too but don't feel discouraged because i feel that way too sometimes but next year I will have a year to go.
