Lost a baby @ 7 months...

Lost a baby @ 7 months...

I called to make an appointment with my hairdresser, who I haven't seen in months, and they asked me when I was there last. The reason why is because she lost her baby in her seventh month of pregnancy. I cannot believe it! A lot of the customers were coming in asking how's the baby, assuming that she was back from her maternity leave, so the receptionist said not to mention it to her.

I feel so bad, I guess that I shouldn't tell her that I'm pregnant...but we always talk about life and she knows everything about me.
What do you think?

Also, do you think I should get her something additional? Nothing to remind her of a baby, but something....

I feel sooo bad...

I would not mention to her that you are pregnant. I would wait until you see her next time, I'm sure by then you will be further along and showing so you won't have to tell her (plus it will be more time for her to mentally heal)

omg that is awful, I wouldnt mention it either if she doesnt bring it up. I mean if she flat out asks you I would tell her but if not I would try to stay off the topic.

I had a very close friend who lost her baby girl @ 6.5 months. She really didn't want to talk about it or trying again. Give her some time and although I'm sure she'd be happy for you wait awhile to tell her your good news.

my very close friend lost her baby girl at 5.5 months along....but for her, it was very very helpful to talk about it...everyones different...see how it goes when you go there....

But no, I would not mention tht you are pregnant just yet...I know my friend was very distant to people who were expecting after she lost hers,

How horrible - this is my worst nightmare,
everyone is different - if she mentions it - than talk about it - but I wouldn't bring it up.
I also wouldn't say anything about your pregnancy - touchy subject.

How incredibly sad...

I would hold off on mentioning my good news. She may be super-sensitive right now and not take it well (understandably in her condition). Give it some time.
